For 40 years Jan Gyllensten was photographing equestrian sport around the world. With his cameras he covered 6 Olympic Games, plus more than

50 World Championships, European Championships and World Cup-finals.


For many years Jan was concidered as one of the best equestrian photographers worldwide. His photos has been published in magazines

all over the world and has also apeared in more than 60 books.


Jans equestrian photo archive is one of the largest in the world.



On his time off from equstrian photography Jan spent lots of time hiking in the nature, but his cameras were all the time left behind in the office. At the most a selfie was taken at some occasions, with a compact camera…


But after Jans retirement from photographing equestrian sport, a quick photographic conversion took place...


Suddenly cameras were brought along into the nature, when Jan again found photographic happiness...

In a few years Jan has become an awarded wildlife photographer, where nature now is his new arena…
